I had a pleasant stay in this historical guest house, which is rich in old world charm and character. The cozy common areas with fireplaces were a nice touch, but I faced some issues with the shower and the dining experience could use improvement. The value for money is decent given the unique atmosphere, but there are some areas that might need addressing for a perfect stay.
Rooms
8.0
The rooms are quite cozy and maintain a historical ambiance, though the spa featured was quite small. The view of the Blue Mountains from my room was absolutely stunning, making the experience special.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were cheerful and approachable, and I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of chocolates and a birthday note upon check-in. However, I did encounter a receptionist who wasn't as friendly.
Location
9.0
The location on the hill offers wonderful views and easy access to Katoomba's main street and nearby attractions, enhancing the overall experience.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was a bit underwhelming; many cooked items were barely warm, and the waiting time was quite long despite the restaurant not being crowded.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel features beautiful reading areas with comfortable seating, but the shower water pressure was inconsistent, which detracted from the overall experience.

I had an amazing getaway at this hotel with stunning views and cozy atmospheres. The staff was exceptionally friendly, especially Tuan, who went above and beyond to enhance our experience. The dining options were delicious and had gorgeous settings. However, my experience was marred a bit by another guest's experience, which highlighted some issues with customer service and overall value for money in certain situations.

6.0/10
My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. On one hand, the location offered beautiful views and a nice lounge area that added to the ambiance. On the other hand, the service was subpar and I felt like the rooms didn't live up to their premium price tag. The dining experience during Christmas was particularly disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion. Overall, while it had its moments, there were definitely areas that need improvement.
Rooms
6.0
The room I initially received was small and lacked amenities like a settee. After requesting a change, I was given a larger room which had beautiful views but still showed signs of wear.
Service
5.0
The service left much to be desired, particularly during the busy Christmas period. I felt like our needs were overlooked, especially considering we paid a premium.
Location

The hotel is positioned nicely with great views, which certainly added to my experience.
Dining

The dinner on Christmas night was a real letdown for the price we paid, and breakfast was not included in our stay, which felt unfair.
Facilities

The lounge area was welcoming with nice fireplaces and good cocktails, which enhanced my overall enjoyment of the hotel.

The hotel offers breathtaking views and a cozy atmosphere, making for a relaxing getaway. The dining experience is top-notch, with excellent meals that surprised us positively. However, the hotel lacked a bit of lively atmosphere during our stay, feeling overly quiet at times. Additionally, the staff could have been better coordinated during our dining experience, as there were some mix-ups with our orders.
